Governor & Shriver to be Feted at Neumann Family Services 60th Anniversary Gala

Neumann Family Services (formerly the Neumann Association) serves adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness, and the Victor Awards honor those who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the causes of individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
 The Chicago Cultural Center event will be co-chaired by Mayor Richard M. Daley and long time supporter, State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias.  Channel 2's Rob Johnson, will serve as master of ceremonies for the gala.  Shriver, the son of the late Eunice Shriver, is being honored as the founder and chairman of Best Buddies®, an international organization that works to expand the opportunities for those with disabilities. Governor Quinn is being recognized for his success in raising public awareness of the plight of veterans with disabilities.
 For the past 60 years, Neumann Family Services has taken extraordinary measures to make a difference in the lives of those with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Through its various programs, Neumann Family Services seeks to enrich the lives of adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
