Residential Services
The Neumann Family Services Residential Program provides members with a home of their own. More than simply "an apartment or house", residents take pride in their own home as well as in the goals and dreams they are achieving, in their self directed living arrangement. The number of residents living in the homes vary with the desires and needs of the individuals living in that home. Currently we have 31 Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs) throughout the city of Chicago. Each site offers a unique living experience, including some sites that are fully accessible. All sites are located near public transportation.
The goal of the program is to assist and encourage the residents to take ownership of their homes and to become increasingly more self-sufficient and independent. Additionally, people enrolled in this program have access to services such as recreational and social activities, case management, person-centered consultation, counseling, educational sessions, life skills management, mobility/transportation training and vocational training. Each site provides a specific level of staff supervision ranging from 4 - 24 hours per day, depending on the needs of the residents.
